Beyonce, the Terrible
Beyoncé released her latest album last Friday that was both record-breaking and unannounced. Her new album, which sold a whopping 617,000 copies in three days following its surprise debut, was an iTunes release early Friday morning.
Although many (women) adore Beyonce, she simply is not what everybody cracks her up to be. She is, to put it simply, terrible. Here’s why:
- Beyonce is a terrible actress. From her movies Cadillac Records, Dreamgirls, and Obsessed, Beyonce continues to play HERSELF in every movie that she’s ever acted in. She’s a quick-tempered diva with an attitude problem. That’s not acting, Beyonce. That’s not acting.
- Beyonce is a terrible role model. With all the exposure and young teens that look up to her, she hardly demonstrates what should be a role model. Her song “Soldier” preaches that if a guys status ain’t hood, she ain’t checkin’ for him. Definitely not something any prudent persons daughter wants to hear. Her attire, demeanor, and personality also is dreadful. This cannot be overstated.
- Beyonce is a hypocrite. She contradicts herself in all that she stands for and sings about. She’ll have a song called “Independent Woman” but then would also want a guy to “pay her bills, pay her telephone bills, if you would then maybe you could chill.” In one song, she says “I’m your girl, you’re my girl, we your girls,” and in the other she’ll say “me, myself, and I, all I got is myself, is what I found out.” Pick a stance and stick with it!
In conclusion, I highly advise against purchasing her album. Don’t support her cause(s), and they are terrible in every way.
